Note from Kenya regarding the Horn of Africa Famine

Greetings in Jesus Christ’s Name. It has been a while since we talked in January and February when we were together, although it seems like yesterday. I keep on hearing good reports of the work you have continued to perform since we left. Be encouraged because you are in the Lord's vineyard and He alone rewards us accordingly.

This morning [I was] reading some reports  on hunger index, I thought, let me draw you to an article from International food policy research institute (IFPRI). Kenya on its index is 50th and is highly dependent on food imports & therefore extremely vulnerable to increasing and unpredictable international food prices. Food prices seasonally volatile due to drought .83% of the families buy food due to current drought.
